Why the King of The Voice Finally Said Goodbye for Good

Twenty-three seasons is a long time to sit in the same spot. For twelve years, Blake Shelton was the heart of a show that millions of people watched every week. He won nine times and became the face of a singing empire. None would never walk away from a job like that.

But Blake did the opposite. He realized his house was too quiet without him. He wanted to be a real dad to his three step-sons and a husband to Gwen Stefani.

He felt to do that job right you have to give it all of your energy. Blake knew his heart was pulling him toward home and family instead of the bright lights.

‘The Voice’: Blake Shelton Says Goodbye

People still talk about his final night on the show and how it felt like the end of an era. One viewer said that the show will never feel the same without his jokes and his big heart. Another fan wrote that they cried watching him walk away from that spinning red chair for the last time.

We know he stepped away from the studio. But a true artist never really stops looking for talent. Blake is now trading that comfortable indoor chair for a seat on a tour bus.

It is a total shift in how he finds the next big star in country music. He is teaming up with the creator of the show Yellowstone to do something very different.
