Eagles’ Perform — All Perform the Eagles’ 02) Coaches Bublé, Gwen, Reba & Snoop
As for the performance itself, this was in line with the tradition of the programme’s coaches performing a song together to mark the beginning of a new series. These performances do well to build the hype for the competition ahead of the actual competition, wherein coaches pick their favorite singers based only on their vocals (hoping to land the best singers onto their ‘team’), before coaching their chosen singers throughout the next round hoping one of their team members takes the crown.
The Voice had another of those impressive pre-season performances that helped get viewers hyped up for the season, as Gwen, Reba and then-judges Niall Horan and John Legend teamed up to do a luminous rendition of a different Eagles song. This time around they opted for the 1972 hit, ‘Take It Easy’, and it went down just as well as ‘Heartache Tonight’. Among the many memorable performances that evening was John Legend, whose voice was luscious and thick that night.

The pre-season performance by the coaches is a huge part of The Voice history, so much so that many of the fans of the show say they love the performance, because it helps get them pumped for the season ahead. The rendition from this year’s panel of judges was no exception, as Snoop, Michael, Gwen and Reba displayed all their heart and soul on ‘Heartache Tonight’.
