The Netflix documentary Michael Jackson: The Verdict has brought a lot back into focus. But one piece of evidence from 1993 has sparked more debate than anything else — and it refuses to go away.
In August 1993, thirteen-year-old Jordan Chandler told LAPD investigators that Michael Jackson had molested him. As part of that account, Jordan provided a detailed description of Michael’s body — specifically, markings and discoloration on his lower torso, including a distinct blemish on his privates. He drew a diagram and signed it.
Investigators believed this was significant.

During December, 1993, authorities executed a search warrant at Neverland Ranch. Michael Jackson was subjected to a full strip search lasting 25 minutes.
His body, including his private areas, was photographed and videotaped. He later called it the most humiliating experience of his life.
Detective Rosibel Ferrufino-Smith, who appears in the Netflix documentary, said Jordan’s account was so detailed that she believed there was no way he could have made it up.
The prosecution felt they had their smoking gun.
Michael Jackson’s Own Statement Following The Strip Search
But no arrest was made. During the 2005 trial, prosecutor Thomas Sneddon described only a partial match — a mark at the same rough location on the p****, using the word “relative” rather than exact. Jordan had also described Michael as circum*****. Michael was not.
Grand jury records show investigators even questioned Michael’s mother about whether he could have altered his appearance to avoid matching the description.
