The Iconic Songs Cut From the Biopic That Will Possibly Make It To Part 2

Lionsgate executives recently dropped an absolute bombshell during their corporate earnings call, confirming that production on Michael 2 is already underway.

Because early cuts of the first movie ran well over three hours, the director had to ruthlessly trim down the track list.

Fans were devastated to miss the later eras, but the studio revealed that multiple completed song recreations are safely locked away for the next installment.

The first major track officially saved for the sequel is the iconic Bad era hit, Another Part of Me. Jaafar Jackson filmed the legendary live concert choreography in full, complete with the gleaming silver outfits.

However, the biggest cuts that have fans talking are the massive anthems Man in the Mirror and Heal the World.

The production team had already captured a sprawling, stadium-sized performance piece of “Man in the Mirror,” in which Jaafar poured immense energy into perfecting his uncle’s raw vocal delivery and iconic spin.

Alongside it, the beautiful humanitarian anthem “Heal the World” was poised to anchor the emotional climax of his 1990s timeline.

SOME FANS QUESTION WHY THESE SONGS WERE NOT PART OF PART 1, AND THE ANSWER IS THE BIOPIC’S TIMELINE.

The movie is largely wrapped up by 1988, making the addition of some songs conflict with the timeline depicted in the film.

By holding back these three massive tracks, the producers have ensured the sequel retains incredible musical firepower along with details of the dark side of Michael’s life.
