In a shocking confession titled Raw and Reckless the Britain’s Got Talent winner revealed that she nearly burned her career to the ground before the world even knew her name.
This was a massive gamble that terrified everyone behind the scenes because Sydnie walked into that high pressure meeting with zero backup songs.
She told the experts it was her version of My Way or she was out. She was fighting a mental battle against her own inner devil which was a doubt telling her to run away and hide. Before the glitz of the live shows she even recorded a mental first draft. If the producers had pulled the plug Sydnie would have gone back to her gym job and the world would have missed a legendary voice.

This journey from a gym worker in Kent to a national hero was her one last shot at a dream. When she first walked out for her audition she was terrified because she was no longer playing a character but showing the world the real Sydnie Christmas. The transformation was incredible to see. Amanda Holden hit the Golden Buzzer and gave a shot of emotion that proved Sydnie was not crazy for believing in herself.
During the performance of My Way she looked out at the crowd and saw a sea of dreams. When her name was finally called as the winner the relief was so intense she felt like she could skyrocket off the stage. Her story proves that being reckless enough to ignore the experts is sometimes the only way to win.
