The 48-Hour Miracle Bringing “Proud Mary” Back to Oakland

It is hard to believe that 54 years have passed since a superstar first stepped onto the stage at the Henry J. Kaiser Center. Back in 1972, the building shook with the sound of a woman who would go on to win 12 Grammy Awards. Now, for just two nights on January 21 and 22, 2026, that same magic is coming back home to Oakland.

The show is built to tell the incredible story of a girl named Anna Mae Bullock who refused to let the world hold her back. You will see a woman fighting against every wall, from people who said she was too old to those who said she did not fit in.

Since this tour started traveling across North America in late 2025, the energy in every city has been electric. Viewers noted that the lead actress captures the soul of the Queen of Rock so well it feels like a time machine. This 48-hour miracle is causing a stir in Oakland. You can see a glimpse of that high-octane energy in the video below.

Watching the energy in that first look makes you want to see how the whole thing started. It is one thing to see the finished show, but it is another to see the hard work behind the curtain. Before the big lights and the gold dresses, there were simple rooms and a lot of practice. Even the star herself wanted to make sure every detail was just right for her fans.

Behind the Scenes at Tina The Musical

In this look behind the scenes, you see the actors working in a simple workshop to get the moves perfect. One fan commented that seeing the practice makes the actual performance feel even more special. It shows that being a legend takes more than just luck; it takes a whole lot of heart.

This artist lived a life that proved you can always start over and win.
