After her big win, some people started spreading rumors about her past. They claimed she had more professional experience than allowed for the competition. Sydnie cleared this up, saying, “I’ve never been on a West End stage. Working in London and being a lead on the West End are two very different things. It’s something I’ve been working toward my whole life. The idea that I’d lie about my journey is just not true.”
The negativity didn’t stop there. Sydnie also faced mean comments online, with some calling her a “cheat” and a “fraud.” She even discovered entire pages created to criticize her. But she stayed strong. “I know the truth, and I’ve built up a layer of resilience. I just want to sing, tell stories, and do what I love.”
Despite the challenges, Sydnie stayed focused on her love for music. Looking back, she said the experience was worth it. “I met some amazing people during this journey and learned so much If I had to face even more hate to relive it, I would, because it was worth it. I won’t let negativity ruin my love for performing.”
For Sydnie, singing is more than just a job. It’s her way of connecting with others. She said, “I want to make people happy through my music. It’s not about the criticism—it’s about connecting with people and sharing something I love.”
Her journey proves that determination and hard work can overcome any obstacle. Sydnie’s story is an inspiration to anyone chasing their dreams. As she said herself, “I’ve done my best, and I’ll continue to do my best. All I want is to keep growing, keep learning, and keep singing.”
