“I want people to get to know the person you voted for, and give back,” Sydnie said, smiling in an interview with MM. It’s clear she cares about more than just fame—she wants to connect with her fans.
Since winning BGT, Sydnie has been hard at work on her album, which will be released in early October. She dropped her new single, “My Way,” earlier this month, and it gives us a taste of what’s to come. The song has a classic vibe, drawing inspiration from legends like Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra.

Here’s something impressive: Sydnie put the whole album together in just three weeks.
“I’m really proud, especially in doing it in three weeks,” she said. “I would love to have more time to work on it—and to write my own songs.” Even though her first album is mostly covers, Sydnie’s written over 100 songs, and her next album will feature some of her music.
But there’s more! Sydnie’s also thinking about trying her hand at musical theatre. She hopes to perform in a West End show next year. “I just want to sing to work,” she said, showing how much she loves being on stage.

It hasn’t been easy getting here, though. Sydnie worked hard to get her big break, and there were times when she almost gave up. “This journey was really difficult for me emotionally, because it wasn’t going anywhere,” she shared. Before BGT, she thought about quitting. “It took me to be like, ‘This is my last shot’—then something finally happened.”
We all have moments where we want to give up, right? But Sydnie didn’t stop, and it’s paid off.
One thing you might not guess about Sydnie is that she suffers from stage fright. Despite her bubbly personality, she was nervous before her BGT auditions. “The semi-final and final were awful—I was throwing up, I was dry heaving,” she admitted. “My singing coach had to literally take me on stage.”

But once she stepped in front of the cameras? “It’s funny what you can do when you need to do it,” she laughed.
Sydnie has a busy few months ahead. Besides her album release on October 4, she’s performing at The Royal Variety Show at the Royal Albert Hall in November. She’ll also be singing at The Lowry in Salford on February 10 next year.
So, what’s next for Sydnie’s Christmas? With her talent, hard work, and passion, there’s no doubt we’ll be hearing a lot more from her in the future!
