Sydnie Christmas became the undisputed winner of Britain’s Got Talent 2024, winning over all of the judges and viewers with her incredible voice and touching performances. Sydnie explained, “I auditioned for BGT to give it one last shot at my career. I’m getting older now, and I thought, ‘Why not? Let’s see what happens.” The industry is really tough, and it often feels like a dream that is just out-of-reach.” Her honesty speaks to many people who have faced similar challenges in their own lives.
Before her first audition, Sydnie felt extremely nervous. “I was absolutely terrified. When you audition, you prepare a script and play a character. Just moments before I went on stage, I realized that this was my chance. It was scary, but exhilarating.”

The pressure of performing in front of judges and a live audience is something many can understand, and Sydnie’s feelings made her performance even more powerful.
As she stepped onto the stage, Sydnie felt the audience’s energy around her. She described it as a “sea of dreams,” showing how much support she received from fans and fellow contestants. “Everyone has been amazing; the team is phenomenal,” she said. “There’s just so much love everywhere, and meeting all the contestants has been the best part.” This sense of community is one of the best things about talent competitions.
The biggest moment in Sydnie ’s journey came when judge ‘Amanda Holden’ hit that golden buzzer and sent Sydnie straight to the live rounds.
“When Amanda pressd that button, it was like a burst of emotion. I just couldnt believe my luck. I felt incredibly lucky,” Sydnie remembered. This moment not only helped her move forward in the competition but also made her a favorite among viewers.
