Sofronio Vasquez amazed the audience and judges with his performance of You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me during The Voice Knockouts. With his lush, emotional voice, he revived Dusty Springfield’s classic hit. The way he played each note, controlled every sound and clearly communicated deep feelings were all of the evidence needed to show why he had made it this far in the competition.

The degree to which he connected with his lyrics suggested someone years older than him was on stage. Each word was broken yet heartfelt as if he had experienced the story himself.
