The finale of “The Voice” Season 26 aired a few weeks ago and let’s just say, everyone was buzzing with excitement! Five incredible finalists—Shye, Danny Joseph, Jeremy Beloate, Sydney Sterlace, and Sofronio Vasquez—hit the stage one last time on December 9 to impress the audience and the judges. The prize? A huge $100,000 bond and a record deal! No pressure, right?
If you watched the episode, you might have seen a surprise guest: Martha Stewart! Yes, the one and only! She started things off by sharing her thoughts on the set and even helped the coaches look their best.
Then it was Shye’s turn from Team Bublé. She took a big risk by singing Joan Osborne’s “One of Us.” When she finished, Reba McEntire couldn’t hold back her excitement.

“I have been your biggest fan,” she said. “You’re great, you have got a god-given voice.”
Next, Shye’s coach, Michael Bublé, joined in with praises.
“Your voice is so good that even your microphone stand was intimidated by you,” he said with a laugh.
For her final performance on The Voice, Shye chose to sing Harry Styles’ “Falling.” And wow, she really nailed it! Snoop Dogg was so impressed that he practically offered her a record deal right then and there!

“You are exceptional at singing,” he said. “I can’t wait to see you make a real record in 2025.”
For most of the contestents, being on The Voice is about more than just money or fame. For Shye, it’s about overcoming tough times. Back in 2010, her mom had a serious injury that changed their lives. Shye had to be raised by her siblings and people in their community, and she found comfort in music during those tough times. In fact, she was so dedicated to her dream that she skipped her high school graduation to audition for the show! That shows real commitment!
As we all waited for the results on December 10, it was clear that this season of The Voice deeply influenced all those who took part in it, even the judges.
