Can you imagine Snoop Dogg, the legendary rapper, trading in his microphone for a soccer jersey? Well, word around the streets is that something like that is under the works and if things go well, he could very well become “Hoop Dogg” for Celtic FC. That’s right!

Snoop Dogg, has recently made headlines with his desire to invest in Celtic FC. He praised the club, its passionate fans, and the special atmosphere at Celtic Park. Snoop sees a great chance to make a real difference in soccer, especially knowing other renowned celebrities like Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have already made similar investments.

Just this past summer, Snoop showed up at the Paris 2024 Olympics ready to ride horses. He’s not just a casual fan; he really cares about sports. So when news came out that A$AP Rocky was looking at a lower league team, it was only a matter of time before Snoop started thinking big too.

In an interview with the “Daily Record”, Snoop—whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr.—talked about how much he admires Celtic.

“I love what Ryan has done with Wrexham – it’s just a great story,” he said. Seriously, who wouldn’t want to be part of that?

He added, “Investing in a sports team has been something I have been looking at for a long time – if the chance came to invest in Celtic, I would be crazy not to take a look at it.”

Celtic fans are some of the most passionate fans in the world! And Snoop’s been keeping a close eye on them. He’s been watching European soccer for years and understands how special Celtic supporters really are.

“There is a reason why their fans are talkd about across Europe,” he said.

But there might be another reason this sport’s team caught Snoopy’s attention; the Celtic’s mascot, “Hoopy the Hound.” It kind of sounds like someone took “Snoop Dogg” and tried to paraphrase it.

“Their mascot is a hound – you couldn’t make that up!” he said with excitement. Can you imagine? Snoop Dogg as Hoopy the Hound?

That would be incredible! And not just for Snoop dogg and his fans. This investment could do wonders for Celtic FC. With around $149 million to his name, Snoop could bring some serious cash to Celtic. And guess what? He also wants to work with fellow Celtic fan “Sir Rod Stewart” and even hopes to team up with “Susan Boyle” for a comeback!

“Susan Boyle is a name everybody is going to remember,” he said. “My boy Simon Cowell knows a star when he sees one.” It looks like Snoop wants to turn Celtic into a musical hit too!

Currently, Celtic FC has several owners, who own more than half of the club’s shares. The fans also own a lot through the “Celtic Trust,” which helps keep control of the club within the community. So if Snoop joins in, he’ll probably be one of many investors.

Right now, the Celtics are in second place in the Scottish Premiership, just three points behind “Aberdeen” but with one game in hand. Maybe with Snoop on board, they might be able to take things to the next level?

So what do you think? Is this partnership destined to be? Only time will tell! But one thing’s for sure: if Snoop Dogg becomes part of Celtic FC, there no way to go except up!
