LIVE @ Marymoor Park 7-8-24 Slash & Eric Gales -Purple Haze-
Gales was supposed to start the festival, but he decided to bring Slash on stage early. They began playing “Purple Haze” even before the official start time. Unfortunately, some people who arrived late missed this fantastic performance, but everyone else got to enjoy it!
And those who saw it were super happy. Slash and Gales had a quick chat before launching into seven minutes of excellent guitar playing. They took turns playing the main and rhythm parts, making the performance exciting and full of energy. One smart fan even said, “Slash one of the best guitar icons but effort to Eric Gales.” Honestly, Gales was incredible that night and really shone brightly.
Eric Gales – Little Wing, Dublin (Whelan’s 2017)
If you want to see more of Eric Gales’s amazing live performances, check out his 2017 show in Dublin where he played another Hendrix song, “Little Wing.” Watching him up close, you can see all the emotion on his face as he plays beautiful guitar solos. No wonder some fans call him the Leonardo Da Vinci of electric guitar!
Remember, both Gales and Slash are fantastic guitarists on their own. But when they team up, like they did with “Purple Haze,” they create unforgettable moments in rock history. Playing a Jimi Hendrix classic is a big deal, and if Hendrix were watching, he’d definitely be impressed by what these guitar masters did.
