Throw your bra at Riley Green if you must—but throw a phone and you’re headed for the sidewalk.
A massive concert in Melbourne turned into a crime scene when a disrespectful fan chucked a cell phone at Riley’s face. The heavy impact left the country star bleeding down his neck right in the middle of his set.
Riley didn’t back down or run away. He took total control by ordering the house lights on and pointing the guy out to security. “Get his fat a** out of here,”** Riley shouted as the crowd erupted in cheers.
This country boy proved he has zero tolerance for bad manners and fake fans.
Watch the exact moment Riley gets hit and handles the situation like a boss:
On behalf of Australia, sorry
It is rare to see a star show this much raw grit under pressure. Riley didn’t even realize he was bleeding until a crew member ran out with a towel.
He laughed it off and joked that he was glad it wasn’t an iPhone 12 because that would have really hurt.
A concert should be about the music and not a trip to the emergency room. Riley eventually needed five stitches to close the gash on his face.
The most heartbreaking part is that he was singing “I Wish Grandpas Never Died” when it happened. That song is a sacred moment for fans but one person decided to ruin the entire mood.
Riley Green – I Wish Grandpas Never Died (Live / Audio)
It is a ghostly reminder of how concert etiquette has disappeared in recent years.
The video shows the beautiful connection between an artist and a crowd that actually has common sense. Riley is currently continuing his Cowboy As It Gets Tour across Australia despite the injury.
