Under the warm California sun, fans crowded the shore, excited to see their favorite rock band ‘Red Hot Chili Peppers’ but no one would have imagined what they had planned for Olympic handover ceremony. As the excitement from the Paris Games began to fade, the Red Hot Chili Peppers ended the celebration with an unforgettable show performing their 2002 hit, “Can’t Stop.”

At the event, marking down the transition to the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles Red Hot Chili Peppers delivered a performance so good it became a viral hit and earned more than 1.2 million views in just few days of being uploaded. Flea, the band’s 60 year old bassist, appears shirtless and as energetic as ever, playing to a packed beach of cheering fans.

Anthony Kiedis, who is 61, kept things playful by singing the last chorus with his T-shirt pulled over his head. The band’s bright energy got stronger with every note, and their sound was as clear as a studio recording, leaving the crowd hungry for more.

Online fans were shocked by John Frusciante’s return as the group’s guitarist. Even though these guys are older now, they still know how to rock the stage. Frusciante once left the band in the 1990s and batteled with addiction. He came back just in time to help make some of their most famous albums. Seeing him play at the Olympics honored his belief in himself and his talent.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers truly represent Southern California. They were formed in LA in 1982, and their story has moved along with the city’s history. LA last hosted the Olympics in 1984, only two years after the band came together, which shows how their pasts are linked.

The group received two Grammys and a permanent spot in the Rock nd Roll Hall of Fame, but they didn’t hit the big time until their fifth album, “Blood Sugar Sex Magik,” came out in 1991. Famous hits like “Under the Bridge” and “Give It Away,” helped secure their place in rock music history.

Today, they are quite famous and widely known for their wild performances, but some old clips have resurfaced that have the internet buzzing. A clip from the James Whale show in the 1990s has popped up, making fans look at the band’s early years in a new way.
