Priscilla Presley’s Son Faces Backlash Over Asking Strangers To Fund Him

Think about belonging to one of the richest and most famous families in history, but you decided to ask strangers online for pizza money. Sounds wild, right?

Well, that is exactly what Navarone Garibaldi Garcia just did! Navarone is the 37-year-old son of Priscilla Presley, the famous ex-wife of Elvis Presley.

He recently launched an online fundraiser to buy a specialized industrial pizza oven so he can sell organic pizza right out of his Los Angeles driveway. But instead of getting hungry customers, he ended up getting a huge wave of angry comments.

As soon as the fundraiser went live, internet users started complaining. People pointed out that Priscilla Presley is a very rich businesswoman who helped turn the famous Graceland estate into a multi-million-dollar goldmine. Critics flooded Navarone’s social media, saying things like, “Why don’t you just ask your rich mom for the money?” Others noted that he already owns two houses and has ample family wealth, so he should not be asking ordinary people for donations.

Navarone did not stay quiet for long. He posted a video to clap back at his haters and explain his side of the story. He explained that he is paying for more than half of the $5,500 oven with his own money and is offering free pizzas to anyone who helps out.

He also shared that he has ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder), a condition that makes his mind jump between lots of different ideas. Because of this, he wants to build his own small business from scratch instead of just taking his mother’s money for every new project.

This is not the first time Navarone has walked a tough road. In the past, he fought a very dangerous battle with drug addiction, but he worked incredibly hard to get clean in 2020 with the support of his family. Even though he is a musician in a band called Them Guns, he has always tried to make a name for himself without simply relying on the shadow of the famous Presley.

While the online debate keeps heating up over his driveway pizza dream, Navarone says he is just focused on “love, peace, kindness, and pizza!”
