Imagine staying up all night long with your favorite person, eating snacks, and watching four movies in a row until the sun comes up. Sounds fun, right?
Now, imagine that your movie partner is the most famous singer on earth, Elvis Presley, and your late-night dates are making you late for school the next morning!
That is the sweet, secret story that Priscilla Presley recently shared about her marriage to the King of Rock and Roll.
Speaking at a special event in Florida, the 80-year-old Priscilla smiled as she remembered their cozy movie habit. Because Elvis was a total night owl who worked late, the couple usually ate dinner at 10 o’clock!
Afterward, they would spend hours watching films. Local movie theaters loved Elvis so much that they would call the couple directly, letting them watch brand-new movies before anyone else in the world.

Priscilla admitted that they regularly watched three or four movies in a single night. She was still a teenager at the time, and staying up until sunrise meant she often struggled to wake up for school the next day!
While these private movie nights sound like a perfect fairytale, living with a global superstar was not always easy. Priscilla was very young when they married in 1967. Because Elvis was so famous, women were always chasing him.
Priscilla felt very insecure, admitting she even followed him to the dentist just to keep an eye on him!
Eventually, the pressure of fame, rumors, and his busy schedule became too heavy. After six years of marriage and the birth of their daughter, Lisa Marie, the couple decided to divorce in 1973.
But unlike most messy Hollywood breakups, theirs was full of love. On the day they got divorced, Elvis and Priscilla walked out of the courtroom holding hands. They remained great friends until the tragic day Elvis passed away in 1977.
Today, Priscilla looks back at those years with a warm heart. She chooses to remember the great times, like those sleepy, late-night movie dates. It proves that behind all the screaming fans, gold records, and flashing lights, Elvis and Priscilla were also just a normal couple who loved sharing a bucket of popcorn in the dark.
