Prince’s Family Home Now on Sale for Almost One Million Dollars

A big house in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, holds a special, sad story about the music legend Prince. It was bought by his half-brother, Alfred Jackson, after Prince died in 2016. Prince did not leave a will, so his estate was split, and Alfred Jackson became one of the six people who inherited his wealth.

This money allowed Alfred Jackson to buy the house at 102 NW Hackberry St. in 2017 for $579,000. The home is enormous, with 4,600 square feet, three bedrooms, and three bathrooms. It overlooks Lakewood Lakes, and some people say the view makes them think of Prince’s famous movie line about the “waters of Lake Minnetonka.”

The house itself is older, built in 1976. But it looks brand new because major work was done between 2022 and 2024. Workers put on a unique handcrafted clay tile roof. Inside, the living room has an open layout and lots of big windows that let in sunshine, making it an excellent spot for family and friends to gather.

Sadly, Alfred Jackson passed away in August 2019 while owning the house. Since then, the home has been put up for sale many times. It is no longer just a regular house. Because of the Prince connection, it has become a public item.

This is the same thing that happened to Paisley Park, which was Prince’s private studio and living space in Minnesota. That large complex went from being Prince’s secret place to a public museum that fans can visit today. Both properties show that everything connected to the Prince gets an exceptional value and story.

Today, the Lee’s Summit house is listed for $995,000. The higher price shows the lasting power of Prince’s name, even for his family’s possessions. We can still celebrate his life and music. To see more of his creative journey, follow the official Prince pages on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
