Arsenio’s Couch, Prince’s Rules: No Phone, Yes To Princestagram Today

Nolan Feeney

Prince once made a joke that only about one person he knew did not have a cell phone. That person was Prince himself! In 2014, he came on The Arsenio Hall Show and talked about being totally phone-free. He talked about his funny social media presence, joking that he wanted to call his Instagram “Princestagram.”

The interview showed a cool contrast in Prince. He was shy and quiet, but he was also bold and witty on stage. When Arsenio Hall asked him about his cell phone, his famous answer was, “Everybody I know has one.” They also showed what they called his “first selfie” online. It was clear that Prince lived by his own unique rules.
