Meet the Man Behind the Music
“Hi Petar! “Can you please give our readers a background of your music?”
We ask the violinist and he responds: “The violin was my first love in music. All the way back to when I was a child, but by exploring my singing and playing guitar later it inspired me to start covering songs, way back in 2009.
I am not bounded by any particular genre, but good Music is what I associate with and it comes in from Classical to Pop or maybe the ones relating to Tradition. At the moment I have been focusing on doing covers but soon should be putting some original stuff out which I am very excited about. It’s an exciting challenge!”
Petar winds up nearly all of his music with strong roots and emotions, wanting to touch his listeners in their heart. “Music, to me, is a way of bringing up the feelings in your own life,” he said.
Petar’s videos are not just acts, they’re meticulously constructed worlds in themselves. How does he work his ideas into scalable products?
“I have been taking video production and audio production classes for years which are completely invaluable in doing professional quality content. My partner here is my wife — she does the shooting and I edit and do all post production work. Basically, what we do when we work together is like painting something beautiful.”
This TikTok clip is one of the fan-favorite video where Petar sings a Toto Cutugno classic in the streets of Rome. “One of my most loved cities in the world-Rome,” — he said. “Recording this piece here was additionally inspired by its beauty and history. It had been the perfect tribute to the song, and to the city.”

What lets you get most creative with your music. Where does the inspiration for your music come from?
“The town where I live, Ohrid is a huge well of inspiration. It is pint-sized but stunning historic city with a special flair — famous for its 365 churches (that´s one church for every day of the year). This city is referred to as the ‘Jerusalem of the Balkans’. Whenever I walk its cobbled streets or sit by the lake, it is like the inspiration for my music just pours out of me.”
World-renowned violinist Andre Rieu is another influence for Petar
“Andre Rieu is a musicians I hugely admire. His concerts are amazing and his music brightens up my day! Just watching him makes me want to play my violin so much better.”
What made you fall in love with music?
“Growing up music was just a part of my life. My family loves music, and I grew up with Julio Iglesias, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Elvis Presley on in the house all the time besides listening to traditional Macedonian songs. No one in my family played an instrument, but their passion for music ignited a pathway within me.
To some extent, did you have musical education background?
Yes, when I was seven years old, I enrolled my self in the Primary Music School in Ohrid. The violin rapidly grew to become my passion. I took piano from ages 7 to high school graduation, towards the end of my studies I started winning awards on those instruments in solo, duo and trio categories and that encouraged me stay focused on learning how to play right because of not only skill but attitude as well!
What are your greatest musical accomplishments?
“Through the years, I was fortunate enough to have been part of numerous festivals, concerts and competitions. I did over 2,000 live shows and had songs that were number one hits on Macedonian radio & television. Each and every performance is a different experience but the bond I build with my audience makes it ‘an experience for life’.
Best memory as a musician?
“Something I really liked doing was when music and video production combined, one of my most path breaking moment. It taught me how to let that knowledge finish my music with awesome videos instead. For me, it is no longer just the sound — it has to come with a story. Today, I assist other artists and businesses with their video projects as well, a very fulfilling side job.
