Pink Floyd’s music from The Wall era has such a huge, stadium-ready feel, and it seems almost destined to be performed like this—with an enormous ensemble of musicians. Orquestra De Baterias, which translates to “Drum Orchestra,” is certainly a fitting name for what they do.

They performed “Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2)” at the 2022 Florianópolis Drum Orchestra event, marking the ninth year of this annual gathering. Musicians from over 60 cities across Brazil came together in Campinas for the occasion. The show was a multi-generational affair, featuring performers ranging in age from 10 to 72. Orquestra De Baterias’ most popular video is their rendition of AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck,” performed at the same event in 2018.
