Imagine speeding through the highways of Vice City while Michael Jackson’s “Speed Demon” blasts from the radio.
It sounds almost too perfect.
And recently, the 1987 track has started appearing on playlists and fan discussions claiming to reveal music from Grand Theft Auto VI.
There is just one problem.
Rockstar Games has not confirmed “Speed Demon” for GTA 6.
One of the biggest sources fueling the rumor is a public Spotify playlist titled “GTA 6 SOUNDTRACK | NOVEMBER 19TH 2026.”
The playlist contains more than 500 songs, including Michael Jackson’s “Bad” and “Speed Demon.”
But despite using a stylized name resembling Rockstar, it is not Rockstar Games’ official GTA VI playlist. The playlist had only a handful of saves when indexed and contains hundreds of speculative tracks.
Rockstar’s actual Spotify account tells a very different story.
Its official GTA VI playlist currently contains only eight tracks, including music by Tom Petty, The Pointer Sisters, Wang Chung, Tammy Wynette, Jay Ferguson, Joan Jett and Stevie Nicks.
“Speed Demon” is not currently listed.
Rockstar itself has also not released the full radio-station or soundtrack lineup on the official GTA VI website. The game is currently scheduled for November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Still, it is easy to understand why fans want this particular Michael Jackson song in the game.
“Speed Demon” appeared on Michael’s Bad album in 1987 and was written around the idea of driving fast. The official short film even places Michael in a wild road-chase setting, complete with motorcycles, speeding vehicles and his famous claymation rabbit disguise.
In other words, it practically sounds built for a Grand Theft Auto radio station.
Michael Jackson also already has history with the franchise.
His “Billie Jean” famously appeared on Flash FM in 2002’s Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, making another MJ song in a modern return to Vice City an obvious possibility.
But possibility is not confirmation.
As of September 14, 2026, there is no official announcement from Rockstar Games, Michael Jackson’s estate or Sony Music confirming that “Speed Demon” will appear in GTA 6.
That could still change before launch.
And if Rockstar really does put “Speed Demon” on the radio, one of Michael Jackson’s most underrated driving songs may suddenly find a massive new audience nearly four decades after it was recorded.
For now, the idea of racing through Vice City with Michael Jackson blasting from the speakers is an exciting rumor — not a confirmed GTA 6 feature.
