Ask a longtime Elvis fan about Lisa Marie Presley’s twin daughters and you’ll hear two names right away: Harper and Finley.
But those are only the first names. The girls each have more than one middle name, and if you read them slowly, you start to see some very familiar family history.
Middle names are easy to miss. They don’t show up in photo captions or most headlines, so the first names are the ones that stick. In this family, though, the middle is where the good part is.
Lisa Marie, Elvis and Priscilla’s daughter, gave birth to fraternal twin girls on October 7, 2008, at Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, California. Their dad is Michael Lockwood.
She was thrilled. Lisa Marie told People, “I really wanted these babies.” People ran the first photo of her with the twins, and Hello! magazine ran photos and an interview, too. She told Hello!, “I have never been happier.”
Priscilla was over the moon as well. She told Entertainment Tonight at the time that becoming a grandmother again was “a dream come true” and “a real delight.” She also said, “Entering into the room and seeing these two babies…it’s been pretty terrific.”
To see why the twins’ names catch fans’ eyes, it helps to look back at the couple who started this family, on the day they became husband and wife.

Here are the full names.
Finley Aaron Love Lockwood.
Harper Vivienne Ann Lockwood.
Now look at Finley’s first middle name. Aaron. Elvis’s full name was Elvis Aaron Presley, so Finley carries the same middle name as her grandfather.
Then look at Harper’s. One of her middle names is Ann. Priscilla was born Priscilla Ann Wagner on May 24, 1945, so Ann is Priscilla’s middle name too.
Put the two girls side by side and you’ve got a piece of Elvis and a piece of Priscilla, one with each twin.
Harper and Finley are Riley Keough’s half sisters. Riley, the actress and Lisa Marie’s oldest child, is a good bit older than the twins, but she’s made it clear the bond is real. She has said, “I have sisters that are the same age that I’m very, very close to”
Harper and Finley turned 18 this October, and Priscilla marked the day online with “Happy birthday Harper & Finley” and a photo of the sisters together by the ocean. Entertainment Tonight covered her rare look at the girls.

Back when the girls were babies, Lisa Marie had a pretty good way of describing life at home. She told People that being a family of six was “chaotic bliss.”
Any parent of twins would probably laugh at that one and nod. And the next time you see Harper and Finley’s names in a headline, you’ll know the middle names that come after them.
