Right before her stunning performances at the Grand Ole Opry and CMA Fest, the American Idol Season 24 winner took to her Facebook page to share a hilarious, unreleased acoustic track that is quickly going viral.
Instead of performing on a glamorous stage with fancy lights, Hannah recorded the video right in her own backyard in Missouri. Wearing everyday clothes and holding her phone selfie-style, she sang directly to her neighbor’s chickens wandering around the grass!
She joked that until she officially records the track, the chickens will have to be her practice audience!

To write this funny song, Hannah teamed up with Caroline Owens, a famous bluegrass singer known for her pure voice and sweet personality. Because Caroline is so polite and elegant, people in Nashville often call her a “real-life Disney princess.”
Together, the two talented friends decided to write a song that sounds like a beautiful fairytale tune but features funny lyrics about real life. The song playfully vents about how exhausting it is to be a parent, with lines about running out of time to brush your hair or take a shower because you are too busy checking off chores.
It ends on a sweet note, with Hannah singing that there is still no better way to spend her days than “the life of a mama.”
