Our Faith Was Lost in the Dark But Not Anymore

The romantic nights of Paris in 1988. The stadium lights go down. The crowd is screaming for George Michael. He is no longer a boy in a fun pop group. He is stepping out completely on his own. He is touring for his huge solo album, Faith. He is about to become the biggest superstar in the entire world.

He played two incredible, sold-out shows in Paris. Cameras captured every single dance move and every high note on classic 35mm film. It was the absolute best of George Michael. He was at the absolute peak of his power.

But then, something sad happened.

The footage was packed away in a box. It was completely lost for almost forty years. Millions of fans around the world longed to see it. They prayed for the missing tapes to resurface.

The Perfect, Poetic Return

Now to the year 2026. The long  wait is finally over!

The lost tape was found. The footage was carefully cleaned and restored. Now, the film, George Michael: The Faith Tour, is officially coming to cinemas all over the world. A brand new live album is coming out with it, featuring completely unheard songs from that magical era.

At first, the studio said the movie would come out late in 2026. Fans were anxious. But today, the official date was finally announced. It is coming to the big screen on July 6, 2026.

When fans heard that specific date, they immediately broke down in tears.

It is an incredibly emotional, highly symbolic choice. Decades ago, July 6 was the exact date the original Faith Tour came to an end. Now, on that exact same day, his greatest tour movie will finally begin again. It is a perfect full circle for a true musical genius.
