On July 5, 1954, Elvis and his band were tired after trying to record slow songs all day. During a break, Elvis picked up his guitar and started playing a fast, happy song called “That’s All Right.” He started strumming, his band joined in, and the studio owner ran to turn on the recorder! That simple, accidental moment became his very first famous song, and it all started because Elvis was playing his guitar.
