Ella Langley dressed as Jessie from “Toy Story” for Halloween. Her mom and dad stole the show backstage

Ella Langley says she takes Halloween “very seriously.” Over the weekend, her parents proved it runs in the family.

If you haven’t caught up with her yet, Ella is a 27-year-old country singer from Hope Hull, Alabama. Her song “Choosin’ Texas” now holds the record for the most weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, passing Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”

On Saturday, Oct 31, she played the Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul, Minnesota. It was Halloween night and also the very last show of her 2026 “Dandelion” tour, so she went all out.

The costume theme wasn’t even her call. Back on Oct 6, Ella posted a TikTok giving her band and crew two choices, “Toy Story” or “Wizard of Oz.” She counted up their picks and announced, “That settles it!” This fan clip shows how the pick went down, and it’s a fun look at how seriously she means it.

“Toy Story” won.

So on Halloween night, Ella walked out as Jessie, the yodeling cowgirl from the movies. She wore a red cowboy hat, a cow-print skirt, yellow fringe and braids. Her band and crew dressed up too, as characters like Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Mr. Potato Head, Bo Peep, Hamm the pig and Bullseye the horse.

She thanked the crowd on Instagram the next day. “Halloween & the last night of tour ❤️ Thank you, St. Paul!!”

If you want to see the outfit in action, a fan caught her singing on Halloween in full Jessie costume.

But the best costumes of the night weren’t on the stage at all.

A backstage photo shared after the show has Ella standing between her mom and dad, and both of them clearly planned ahead.

Her mom came as Stinky Pete the Prospector. In “Toy Story 2,” he’s the grumpy old gold miner toy. She went all in, with a fake white beard, overalls, a red shirt and a big blow-up pickaxe.

Her dad came as the giant chicken from Al’s Toy Barn. In the same movie, toy-store owner Al wears that big chicken suit in his TV commercials. Ella’s dad wore a feathered chicken hat with googly eyes, a white suit, chicken feet pulled over his sneakers and an “Al’s Toy Barn” badge.

And there was Ella in the middle in her Jessie outfit, the cowgirl with a prospector on one side and a chicken on the other.

The parents seem to have had as much fun as the star did. Most moms and dads would happily sit in the crowd for their daughter’s last show of the tour. These two showed up ready for a costume contest.

As for whether fans will get more nights like this, Ella answered that one at the St. Paul show when she was asked about touring in 2027. “Of course! Who would I be?”
