You Aren’t Ready for Døvydas and Mia Asano’s Electrifying Violin and Guitar Spin on a Country Classic, ‘The Devil Went Down To Georgia’

Michael Stevens

On a bright, beautiful day at Huntington Beach Pier, with the stunning blue sea in the backdrop, Lithuanian-born guitarist Døvydas teamed up and his musician friend Mia Asano and delivered an unforgettable live show. Their incredible music quickly caught everyone’s attention, quickly drawing a captivated crowd.

The band started by playing a few of their own songs, when someone in the crowd shouted “The Devil Went Down To Georgia” (a song by Charlie Daniels Band). Døvydas was instantly on board, he glanced at Mia with a smile and without rehearsal beforehand, the two started playing––and what happened next is fantastic.

Døvydas’ powerful guitar sounds join Mia’s excellent electric violin, turning the old song into a new rock hit. Mia sings softly, perfretly adding to the sound. Everyone watching live and those watching online were completely hooked. The video goes viral, getting over 4.6 million views in just two months! Fans left comments like “This is pure talent!” showing how much everyone loves their performance.

Both Døvydas and Mia have their own YouTube channels where they share their music. Their version of “The Devil Went Down To Georgia” was first posted on Mia’s channel, letting her fans see how great she is with the violin. Then, they shared it on Døvydas’ channel, too, reaching even more people.

They didn’t stop there. Døvydas and Mia teamed up with singer Kira Lise to sing Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams.” Kira’s dreamy singing, Mia’s violin, and Døvydas’ impressive guitar solos make the song even better. Once again, listeners are enchanted by their talent.
