According to Savio Cipollari, the band’s eldest child, the story of the origin of the band’s name is quirky. One day when they went to a blue-grass festival, at the registration counter, they asked, ‘What’s your band name?’ and their dad spontaneously called it the “Cotton Pickin’ Kids,” and it just kind of struck and its been the name ever since.

The Cotton Pickin’ Kids also have performed heartfelt songs. They made a great version of “No Place To Hide” to which many listeners said it helped them remember good times with family and friends.
