Did you know one of the greatest harmony singers on the planet once sang on a late-night TV show with the host? Country superstar Chris Stapleton was on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to talk about his whiskey brand and his new album, Higher. It was his first time sitting down for a chat on the show, and things got really comfortable really fast. They even shared a shot of whiskey.

Stapleton is famous for his powerful, soulful voice. He told Colbert that he actually grew up as a harmony singer in church, not the lead guy. This talent shines when he talks about his wife, Morgane, helping produce his album. He also shared a fun story about getting a surprise phone call from the legendary Dolly Parton to work together. The best part came when Stephen Colbert asked him to sing and he sang “Bring It on Home To Me.”

But when he opens his mouth and sings, my god, he makes grown ass men cry!” Other fans loved his voice, “He sounds so soulful”. Many love his jolly, humble personality.

The interview was great, but the singing changed everything. It felt like a warm, sweet moment of pure soul music. What song made this moment so special? The classic song they sang was “Bring It On Home to Me,” written and made famous by the soul legend Sam Cooke.
