Riley Green is a country music star who loves his home state of Alabama. Even after winning four major CMA Awards, he always tells his fans that his success stems from his small-town roots. On Friday, November 28, fans filled Auburn University’s Neville Arena to see him play.

Green is loyal to the Auburn Tigers, even though he was a quarterback for Jacksonville State earlier. His whole family roots for the rival team, Alabama. He likes to be a very loud Auburn fan, and he said the last few years have been tough for them.

The excitement grew when Green brought a special guest onto the stage. He introduced a huge legend from Auburn basketball: Charles Barkley. Barkley was an 11-time NBA All-Star, but first he played for the Auburn Tigers.

The crowd went wild when the 6-foot-6 star walked out. Green told Barkley he could say only “one thing” to the crowd. He did not want Sir Charles to talk for too long. Barkley stepped up to the mic and said he made the best choice of his life when he came to Auburn.
