The bright lights are shining, the stage is set, and the finish line is finally in sight! After months of singing, traveling, and dreaming, American Idol has officially found its Top 3.
It started with thousands of hopeful singers across the country, but now only three stars remain: Hannah Harper, Kayla, and Jordan.
The road to the finale was not easy. This week’s episode was full of “shocks” that no one saw coming. Two very popular singers, Chris and Braden, were sent home. Both of them had large followings and millions of likes on social media. Many people thought they would win it all! However, the judges and the voters made a big choice. They decided that at this stage of the game, having a perfect voice is more important than being popular. It shows that to win American Idol, you have to be the absolute best singer in the room.

The Top 3 earned their spots with performances people will talk about for years to come.
- Hannah Harper took a big risk by singing “Fever” by Elvis Presley. She didn’t just copy the old version; she made it sound brand new! Her cool style and stage presence made the whole room feel the heat.
- Jordan chose a very emotional song, “Footprints in the Sand,” by Leona Lewis. It was a “big moment” vocal that showed off his incredible range. By the time he finished, there wasn’t a dry eye in the building.
- Keyla brought the energy up to 100 with “River Deep, Mountain High” by Tina Turner. It is a very hard song to sing, but Keyla made it look easy. The judges were left shaking their heads in disbelief at her powerful voice.
The judges, Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, and Lionel Richie, were left almost speechless. While they were sad to say goodbye to fan favorites like Chris and Braden, they were incredibly proud of the talent that remains.
