In September 2024 at the Ohana Festival, Eddie Vedder celebrated the diverse celebrity lineup and brought a fresh perspective to the stage by introducing a guest dear to his heart –– his 16-year-old daughter Harper Vedder. The pair collaborated on what felt like a perfect father-daughter moment. Fans were moved by the wholesome familial bond through music which would leave them wondering of what would come next to this touching performance.

They kicked off the show by performing the nostalgic hit “Last Kiss” by Pearl Jams. The crowd caught themselves off guard when he blended Taylor Swift’s song, “The Best Day” in the first verse highlighting Taylor’s relation with her parents. This twist added a heartfelt and personal touch to the moment giving tribute to the children-parent relation, leaving the audience eager on how much more emotional the evening could get.

Later Eddie’s older daughter, Olivia, also joined the stage. She opened with the track, “My Father’s Daughter” a song that she recorded alongside her father and the musician Glen Hansard in 2021. As she poured her heart out, Eddie with Harper stood by the side watching Olivia proudly as she delivered a heartfelt performance.

After Olivia finished Eddie hugged both of his daughters, he then joined Hansard to sing “Tender Mercies.” His voice carried a weight through the song but it was his glance mid-performance at his daughter that said it all. He visibly came over with emotions but he channeled all that emotion into the performance hitting each note with raw power. It was a moment that left the crowd silent.
