After two intense months on American Idol and living in busy hotels, the winner of American Idol season 24 is finally back where she belongs. Hannah Harper, the 26-year-old country singer with the big voice, is finally home in Willow Springs, Missouri. She made sure to share this emotional, back-to-home moment with her fans!
And as she walked through the cozy house in the Ozark Mountains, she made sure to give credit where it was due. She shared a secret: she didn’t get to the finish line alone. While Hannah was singing her heart out on American Idol in LA, someone else was back home making sure everything was taken care of!
That someone is her husband, Devon Mendenhall. For the last six months, Devon has taken on a very important job. Hannah calls him “Mr. Mom.” While Hannah was practicing songs and filming for TV, Devon was doing it all for their three young boys—Jentry, Cyrus, and Asa. He was the one making the school lunches, cleaning the house, and keeping everything running smoothly while their mom followed her biggest dream.

Hannah also made sure to show her whole house to the people who supported her through the journey. Inside their beautiful home, you can see the mess of a happy family. In the video, Hannah joked about kicking toy cars and action figures out of the way as she walked through her living room. She even showed her famous couch where she sang, “String Cheese.”

Even though the house is full of fancy things Hannah found at thrift stores, the most important thing in the house is the teamwork between her and Devon.
Hannah even laughed in the kitchen. She showed off the white cabinets and dark counters, but she admitted she hasn’t cooked a meal there in half a year! Because Devon took over the cooking and cleaning, Hannah was able to focus on her music. She jokingly told her fans that if you pretend to be a bad cook, someone else might do the job for you! But she quickly turned serious to say how amazing her husband has been.
Now that the show is over, the family is back together. They are surrounded by sentimental things and family love! Hannah is a superstar now, but she knows that she couldn’t have reached the stars without Devon holding things down on the ground. It goes to show that behind every great singer is a family cheering them on—and a husband who isn’t afraid to do the dishes!
