The lights are bright, and the singing is louder than ever! American Idol is getting very exciting. The competition is moving fast, and we are officially down to the Top 9. The next episode is the famous Disney Night on April 20. But while the songs are magical, the ending won’t be for everyone. In the next episode, two more singers will be sent home, leaving us with a Top 7.
Remember, these are just our “best guesses.” We could be wrong! But looking at who people are talking about online, two names keep coming up as being in “the danger zone.”
First, let’s talk about Daniel Stallworth. In the last episode, Daniel took a huge risk by singing “Livin’ on a Prayer” by Bon Jovi. This is a very famous rock song that is hard to sing! Daniel has a lot of talent and hit some really high notes. The judges, like Lionel Richie and Carrie, looked impressed by his energy.
Although he sang well, Daniel isn’t as “famous” as some of the other singers. Online, his video doesn’t have as many views as the others. In a contest where fans have to vote, not being talked about can be scary. Because he doesn’t have a huge “fan club” yet, he might be one of the next people to go.

Next up is Lucas Leon. He performed “Bennie and the Jets” by Elton John. Lucas has a lot of “flair,” which means he is a lot of fun to watch! He played the piano and tried to make the song his own. The judges liked his style, but like Daniel, Lucas is struggling to get enough votes.
When you look at social media, people are talking a lot about other singers, but they aren’t saying as much about Lucas. On American Idol, you need people to be excited about you every single week. Since Lucas hasn’t grabbed the world’s attention as much as the others, he might be the second person to leave the show.
The next episode is going to be a nail-biter! We expect to see two eliminations as the show moves toward the finale. It is always sad to see singers leave, especially when they work so hard. Whether our predictions are right or wrong, we know the Top 7 will be a group of superstars!
