Zach Top Can Shred a Telecaster But This Golf Hole Terrified Him

Zach Top just learned that a golf club is much harder to swing than his signature Fender Telecaster. Standing at TPC Scottsdale he faced the infamous 16th hole at the Phoenix Open. The context of his day job joke is clear. He is often seen picking a Brent Mason Telecaster with expert precision. That musical confidence vanished as he prayed his golf ball would not hit a spectator.

Zach was visibly humbled by the experience. He admitted that he was way out of his comfort zone. He joked with the press that his main goal was simply to avoid killing anyone with a stray ball.

The fans could not get enough of his everyman charm. One viewer noted that while he might be a rookie on the green, he is a king on the stage. Another fan called the performance a bucket list moment. This shows how much people respect his willingness to try. It turns out that being a “sexy firefighter cop golfer” is a lot harder than it looks on Instagram.

While the golf course gave him a run for his money, the stage remains his true home. He traded the spikes for boots and took his place in the legendary circle.

Zach Top – “I Never Lie” | Live at the Grand Ole Opry

His performance of I Never Lie was a masterclass in traditional country soul. The room fell silent as the fiddle and steel guitar set the mood for his smooth toned vocals. It was a powerful reminder that he never misses a beat when he has a guitar in his hands.

Zach Top carries the torch for the legends who came before him. Whether he is laughing at a bad golf swing or bringing an audience to their feet, his journey is one worth following. Follow Zach Top on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
