“Keithmas”:The Hospital Room Where Keith Urban Shined the Brightest

A man who has sold millions of records and won four Grammy awards usually spends his nights under massive stadium lights. However on a quiet Tuesday in Nashville, the only audience that mattered sat in wheelchairs and hospital beds.

Keith Urban walked into Seacrest Studios at the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital to turn a regular December day into a holiday miracle known as ‘Keithmas.’ He just had an acoustic guitar and a heart ready to listen. There, he struck the first chord of Somebody Like You.

People who saw the moment could not stop talking about how real it felt. One person mentioned that you could see the sincerity in his eyes. Another viewer noted that Keith is a beautiful man on the inside.

While an acoustic song in a hospital room is intimate, Keith also knows how to use his fame for these kids. In a much louder setting, Keith took to a massive stage to lead a benefit concert that raised incredible amounts of money for the same hospital.
