Zach Top’s 1990s Voice is Taking Over Country Music

Did you know Zach Top started playing guitar when he was only three years old?

Most toddlers learn to tie their shoes. But Zach Top was already finding his way around a fretboard. He spent his early years playing bluegrass music in small town halls with his brothers and sisters.

By the time he moved to Nashville in 2021, he did not have a fancy record deal. He had only a voice that sounded like it belonged in the 1990s.

When he sings ‘I Never Lie,’ you might think you accidentally stepped into a time machine. The song is a clever story about a man who says he is doing just fine after a breakup.

People who watch him perform cannot stop talking about how much he reminds them of the legends we grew up with. They say he reminds them of their favorite 90s era.

While Zach can make you cry with a ballad, he also knows how to get your heart racing. He transitioned from those quiet songs to a sound that celebrates the way music used to feel.

This next chapter of his journey shows that he is a true entertainer who knows how to keep the tradition alive.

In his music video for ‘Sounds Like The Radio,’ Zach takes us on a trip in an old pickup truck. This song reflects his true singing style. He uses a special guitar style called chicken picking that requires a lot of finger work and practice.

Zach Top went from playing in dusty grange halls to winning the New Artist of the Year award in 2025. This summer, he will leave those small bars behind to play in giant stadiums like Fenway Park. Follow Zach Top on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube to see where this cowboy goes next.
