John Foster Might Give Up Fame for a Lab Coat

Most people struggle to do one thing well. But John Foster is different. He finished high school with a perfect 4.5 grade point average (GPA) and a valedictorian trophy.

Now he is a Louisiana State University (LSU) student who spends his nights studying biology and his days winning singing contests.

Seven million people watched him sing a love song and now they are worried: will he choose his medical books over the music stage?

That love for science usually takes up all his time. But he made an exception for the girl of his dreams. He stepped away from his biology notes to show his romantic side.

John stood on the big stage and sang a classic George Strait song for his girlfriend, Brooklyn.

John Foster Sings I Cross My Heart

The fans at home went wild for him. One person wrote that they have not heard a voice this pure in twenty years. Another viewer said they would trust him to be their doctor and their favorite singer at the same time.

Side note: Interestingly, John still carries his science textbooks to his music rehearsals.

Before he was the brainy cowboy on television he had to face a very dark day.

He walked into his first audition to honor a friend he lost in a terrible accident. This was the turning point where he showed the world that his heart is as strong as his brain.

He sang about an angel in heaven and it made the judges break down in tears. Luke Bryan thought John was not ready for the show. But changed his mind the moment he heard the pain in John’s voice.

John Foster is a rare person who wants to be a singing oncologist to help people with cancer. He has the soul of an old poet and the mind of a great scientist.
