The Two Faces of Sydnie Christmas: Angelic Voice, Deliciously Wicked Villain

Imagine a singer who just won a big TV show, then goes on to play one of the meanest movie villains ever. That is what Sydnie Christmas did after getting the Golden Buzzer on Britain’s Got Talent in 2024.

She took on the role of Cruella de Vil in 101 Dalmatians: The Musical. She then sang the musical’s “Animal Lover,” a hilarious and dark song.

The song is a joke, really. Her character, Cruella, keeps singing “I love animals,” but then she talks about wanting a “puppy Bobby baby pelt” and a “puppy coat because I’m worth it.” The whole act uses dark humor to show how cruel the famous fashion villain truly is.

One viewer commented that Sydnie is perfect for the part because she makes Cruella so funny, even when she is being bad. Another fan wrote that her voice is so strong, but her acting makes the song work even better. People loved seeing the sweet BGT winner turn into the sharp, mean character so easily.

This Cruella role is a significant change from her victory performance. Before this funny villain song, Sydnie had a considerable moment performing for the Royal Family. She proved her talent by winning BGT, then had the chance to perform at the prestigious Royal Variety Performance for King Charles III.

At the royal show, she sang a massive rock anthem, “Believer,” by Imagine Dragons. This song is about finding strength in pain and not giving up, which fits her journey as an aspiring singer. This shows the range she has, from acting one day to singing the next.

Sydnie Christmas shows she can do it all. She can sing big, emotional songs that make people cheer, and also play a funny, mean character that makes people laugh. To see more of her incredible journey and the two sides of her talent, follow Sydnie Christmas on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
