The Second Beginning Of Bianca Ryan And How She Rebuilt Her Voice And Her Future

Twenty years ago, an 11-year-old girl in a pink jacket walked onto the AGT stage, sang “And I’m Telling You I’m Not Going,” and shocked the world. That moment made Bianca Ryan the very first winner of America’s Got Talent in 2006.

What came next moved just as fast: a debut album the same year, shows across Europe, and a return in 2019 for AGT: The Champions with a powerful cover of “Say Something.” On TV, it looked like a straight line up. Off camera, it was not.

Bianca quietly stepped back in her 20s. Years of work, plus major vocal surgery, forced her to rebuild from zero. Today, she calls this her “from the ground up” era, focused on vocal health, smart coaching, and a voice built to last.

Instead of chasing every big national offer, she chose Philadelphia first, turning down the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade so she could sing at the 6ABC Dunkin Thanksgiving Day Parade.

And then comes 2026.

Bianca is lining up what she calls “insane” plans: a memoir about two decades in music, a new hosting job, fresh acting work, and new songs—including more Christmas music after her beloved “Why Couldn’t It Be Christmas Every Day?”

Bianca’s story also has a soundtrack, and it starts with one song she can never leave off the set list: “Why Couldn’t It Be Christmas Every Day?”. This bright, catchy Christmas track became her signature holiday hit, the one people in Philadelphia expect to hear at the Thanksgiving parade and the city’s tree lighting.

Years after her childhood win and vocal surgery, she walked back out on national TV for AGT: The Champions and chose “Say Something,” a quiet, emotional ballad instead of a big belting song. It was her first real test of this new, more mature voice. The standing ovation she received did not just honor her past; it quietly signaled that her 2026 comeback might be something special.
