At that point, Goodall wasn’t just a performer anymore but also a role model for the kids. What initially was supposed to a celebration of a celebrity, transformed into an emotional connection.
Another highlight of the evening was when Goodall performed one of his favorite songs. During that performance, it was fairly obvious that the students were visibly emotional and vulnerable—some even started shedding tears as they experienced the type of power and impact music has. This wasn’t just a concert anymore, it was also a reminder of the ways in which music and storytelling can inspire, heal, and ignite hope.

The students that attented that event, left with more than just a musical performance. They left with a renewed sense of purpose and self-belief that would help them face any adversity in their life – a gift far more valuable than any song.
