Chris although influenced by rock music, namely the band “Kiss” as one of his favorites, surprised everyone with the choice of song he auditioned for. He sang “Imagine” by John Lennon, a soft pop balled, instead of a rock anthem which was expected of him. The performance was so powerful that it moved the audience and easily won the judges heart. It also showcased his versatility as an artist.

Judges were unanimous in sending Chris forward to the next round. After that he sailed right through the Judges Cuts and to the quarter-finals where he made a bold choice of performing an original song, “Something Like Me.” Despite the challenge of pleasing the audience which is a tough crowd to please with original songs, Chris shone brightly earning him a standing ovation.

Sadly, Chris finished in the second semi-final but he didn’t stop there. Despite being often suggested by his friends and family to keep music as a hobby, he still dedicated pursuing his dreams, writing his own songs and playing for countless of low-paying gigs.
Then, in 2017, his perseverance paid off when he won the “Swedish Idol.” The single gave him a breakthrough in Sweden which led him to release more singles ranking three of his songs in top-five singles the following year. To top it all off, he became the first contestant to ever have the number one and number seven most-streamed songs in Sweden at the same time.
Chris’ global career is still taking off just as brilliantly and he is on the journey of the rise to stardom.
