With her lovely vibrato and strong, earthy style of performance, singer Susan Boyle has wowed everyone who has seen her since her very first appearance on ‘Britain’s Got Talent.’ Boyle showed an early love for singing, but she had a long way to go before she started reaching her professional music goals. But how did she go from legal secretary to international singing sensation? Before her breakthrough on television, she worked as a legal secratery and was an active member of her local church choir, honing her vocal skills and nurturing her dream of becom ing a singer. So, how did she go from everyday life to global stardom?
It all changed in April 2009 when she stepped up for an auditon on ‘Britain’s Got Talent.’ At first, she was met with raised eyebrows, in light of her unassuming personal manner and age (she was 48 then), but when she delivered the song “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Misérables everything shifted. Her performance quickly went viral as she stunned the judges and left the crowd in awe with her passionate vocal performance. Her audition may have ended in second place, but it was just the beginning of her remarkable journey.
