Sydnie Christmas Reimagines “Skyfall” in Spellbinding “Starwater” Performance at Sea

Sydnie Christmas is a star, and when she covered Adele’s “Skyfall,” she took it and made it her own. As soon as she emerged onto the stage of Royal Caribbean’s “Quantum of the Seas,” something magical was in the air, and you felt it in every single note that she sang.

In the “Starwater” performance, Christmas sang the iconic James Bond title song, Skyfall. In a strength as powerful as it was riveting, she not only sang the song but lived it. Every deep breath that she took at the beginning until the very end of the final note, Christmas’ rendition of the song overflowed with passion, an epic combination of restraint and authority that had everyone around her on her every utterance.

Sydnie Christmas takes on Adele’s “Skyfall” and absolutely owns the stage with her amazing energy

The audience was held completely. Gasps, applause and standing ovations were in every set piece of the evening. It was not a performance, it was an experience. Christmas’ performance was so powerful that I swear the audience fell literally into music. The thunderous applause that followed was proof enough that this was an experience nobody ever would forget for a long time.

However, if you considered Skyfall to be the only event where Sydnie’s singing dexterity was showcased, think again. Her performance of Adele’s song, “Make You Feel My Love” was absolutely fantastic where she first of all conveyed the intensity of an emotion and literally drew the listeners further into that sphere of feelings. The way in which she didn’t just cover the love ballad but completely re-invented and so uniquely hers, the song itself was as if the intensity of Skyfall was continuing, just in different words, carrying us along the wave of emotions.

The reception was ecstatic, cementing, as it had already, the depth of Sydnie’s link with this particular song to being absolutely without limits.

If you have not yet had the experience of Sydnie Christmas’ gift, then it is high time you got more involved in her world. The more fans she gets and the more music she gets involved in, the best destination to be familiar with her events is her social networks.
