I bet you can’t even imagine what it would be like if two of the greatest guitar legends teamed up for an unforgettable performance. Well you don’t have to because Slash, the iconic guitarist from Guns N’ Roses and blues sensation Eric Gales joined forces to deliver a mind-blowing rendition of Jimi Hendrix’s legendary “Purple Haze.” This unexpected collaboration electrified the audience and will probably go down as one of the most iconic moments ever in rock history.

Eric Gales walks onto the stage and playfully teases, “You all might know this song, I think,” and starts playing the opening chords to “Purple Haze.” The crowd erupted as Slash joined him on stage, blending his signature rock style. This incredible moment was part of Slash’s S.E.R.P.E.N.T blues tour—a special show to promote his new covers album, “Orgy of the Damned.” The greatest tell for their absolute raw talent was how effortlessly they merged rock with blues, this unique blend kept audiences yearning for more.

LIVE @ Marymoor Park 7-8-24 Slash & Eric Gales -Purple Haze-

Gales was supposed to start the festival, but he decided to bring Slash on stage early. They began playing “Purple Haze” even before the official start time. Unfortunately, some people who arrived late missed this fantastic performance, but everyone else got to enjoy it!

And those who saw it were super happy. Slash and Gales had a quick chat before launching into seven minutes of excellent guitar playing. They took turns playing the main and rhythm parts, making the performance exciting and full of energy. One smart fan even said, “Slash one of the best guitar icons but effort to Eric Gales.” Honestly, Gales was incredible that night and really shone brightly.
